Morning Musume - 13th Generation Members!

Just about a week back, On 12 December, the members for the 13th Generation of Morning Musume has been decided. Originally announced on January 2, 2016 at Hello! Project 2016 WINTER ~DANCING! SINGING! EXCITING!~, as Morning Musume '16 Shinseiki Audition. This audition had 2 runs as no one has passed the 1st auditions.

Details are as follows:

Application Requirements:

1. Female, minimum of 10 years of age and maximum of 17 years of age by January 1, 2016 (June 1, 2016 for re-recruitment).
2. Must not currently be under contract with any agencies.
3. Must have consent from legal guardian if under the age of 15.

Application Deadline:

1. February 14, 2016 (Original - Morning Musume'16 Shinseiki Auditions)
2. August 7, 2016 (re-recruitment - Morning Musume Shinseiki Auditions Saiboshuu)

On May 31, after various strict examination by the staff, it was decided that there was no one that had passed the auditions. Thus, a re-audition was announced and the deadline was August 7. Once again no one ha passed the auditions.

Thus, the 13th Generation members were chosen from the Hello!Project Kenshuusei. The selected members were Kaga Kaede and Yokoyama Reina.

Kaga Kaede has been in Hello!Project for about 4 years, introduced as a Kenshuusei in December 2012 and has participated in various high profile events including a Stage Play slong with several of Morning Musume OG members, still very little is known about her and there is more to come.

On the other hand, Yokoyama Reina has only been introduced this year in August, for her to be selected in to Morning Musume at such a quick rate, she must have something that caught Tusnku's attention. Not much is known about her, there will be high expectation and anticipation from all Morning Musume's fans.

Sorry, for the lag of updates for the past 3 months, I have been busy with my own stuff. But rest assured that the page will be updated to bring you more content of Morning Musume. I will try my best to update the downloads for the singles of Morning Musume as soon as possible including the latest single, Sexy Cat no Enzetsu, which was released just a few days back. Official Debut Single, 01 - モーニングコーヒー

Morning Coffee (JP: モーニングコーヒー) is the first official single of Morning Musume on an 8 cm CD under the One Up Music label. It was re-released in 2004 as part of the "Morning Musume Early Single Box" and in 2005 as a 12cm CD under the Zetima label.

initially, the lead vocals was planned to be Iida Kaori. Before recording of the song started, Tsunku replaced the lead vocals to be Abe Natsumi.

The song Morning Coffee has such a soothing melody, yet meaningful lyrics and it is stuck to me. It makes me feel relaxed and at peace with the world.The song expresses how it is like when you are in love with a person but embarrassed and scared to confess to the person. It somewhat also refer that the person is kind of slow in catching the hint that she is in love with him. It is the first Morning Musume single with an English name. Over the years, many versions of this song has been produced and sung by different members of Morning Musume, there is even a Dreams Version by Dream Morning Musume.

00 Single - 愛の種 - 50,000 copies sales challenge

Ai no Tane, (JP: 愛の種, Eng: Seeds of Love) is the demo single by Morning Musume. Producer Tsunku offered the chance to Nakazawa Yuko, Ishiguro Aya, Iida Kaori, Abe Natsumi and Fukuda Asuka, who were 5 of the 10 losers, a chance to be taken under his wing. He had only one request and that was for them to record and sell 50,000 copies of their debut single, "Ai no Tane".

The single was released on November 3, 1997. The sales of their single hit 50,000 copies on November 6, 1997.

Honestly speaking, for a debut song, they did very very well, especially when it was in 1997. It is a very nice and upbeat song and I feel it does not get enough exposure. The song has only been performed once and has the lowest number of views on in Morning Musume's Youtube channel. When the single was released, the girls had to go out and sell the CD themselves, and truthfully to be able to sell 50,000 copies in just 4 days is damn awesome. I can totally imaging them running around trying to sell it and it must have been very tough, kudos to them. So below are the information and download link. Enjoy!
